Turkish Delight I
We had planted broad beans to nourish the soil and increase nitrogen levels. After harvesting the beans, we mixed the stalks and roots into the soil and waited for natural fertilization to take effect We then planted lavender and rosemary, and sowed thyme and sage seeds, in this soil naturally
Beginning I
In the grassy courtyard behind the school building in Sibiu, a small permaculture garden bed features nasturtium with yellow blooms alongside squash or pumpkin plants, with a young staked sapling growing nearby. The surrounding lawn is left natural to encourage local biodiversity.
The first step I
This is the beginning of a permaculture garden at the school in Valencia. Students have started planting vegetables and looking after fruit trees. The drip irrigation system helps save water and supports sustainable gardening. The garden will continue to grow during the project and will become an outdoor learning space
Harvest III
The photo was taken after the harvest. After gathering the produce, we trampled the remaining plant matter into the soil to serve as fertilizer, and we are now waiting for it to decompose.
